“MISTY-BLEU, MISSY, can you hear me?” Misty-Bleu opened her eyes, and groggily glanced around her. The white walls blinded her and began closing in on her when she realized that she was trapped in a room with four white walls waiting to swallow her up. She frantically searched the room for William, and when she realized that he was nowhere to be found, she cried out in excruciating agony for him. “William! William! William! Come back! Don’t leave me!” Her tears began to bucket mercilessly from her eyes, and when she gazed down at her flat belly, her entire body began to convulse hysterically. “My daughter! Where is she? Where am I?” She swabbed violently at the tears that were drowning out her face. She glanced over at Joshua who had called her name only moments before and glared beseechingly into his eyes. “Joshua?” “Misty-Bleu, do you remember me?” He smiled sadly when he noticed the recognition in her eyes. “You, are you even real? I mean, did we meet, like, really meet?” “Yeah, when William was in hospital. Do you think we never met?” “Where am I?” “You’re in The Garden House Care Center, you’ve been here for a while ...” “My farm? Little Dreams?” “The farm is fine. William hired a couple to take care of your horses and your trees before he, well, before he left. I have been checking in for you. I hope you don’t mind? When I found out that you don’t have family, well, I just didn’t want to see the place fall into disarray. It’s beautiful there ...” Misty-Bleu was desperate to pinpoint what was real, and what she had lived in another life with William. “How long have I been here for?” “Quite a few months ...” “William died? I don’t remember, Josh, I can’t remember any of that ...” She hurriedly dabbed at the warm tears that were laying on her cheeks. “You sort of checked out after William died.” Misty-Bleu burst into tears when she heard Joshua say it out loud. “I don’t want to be here without him ...” He took her in his arms as she buried her head in his chest. “You have to try, Misty-Bleu, this is the longest you’ve been awake. This is the first time you recognize me ...” “I have to be where he is ...” “He’s gone, but you’re still here. Please Misty-Bleu, please let me help you. I promised William I would try.” “You can’t help me, Joshua.” Joshua gently wiped her tears, “Please let me try?” “I can’t live without him ...”

As she laid her head down on the pillow, she began having flashbacks of a life she could by no means at all, remember living. She was reminded of the day that she had walked into the elevator on the morning he was to receive his test results. She thought she had returned to his hospital room, and that she was there with him, when the results came back.
